Stunning and rare Art Deco Modernist side table or pedestal. Design by P.E.L. Izeren for De Genneper Molen. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak with original oak veneered top and solid macassar ebony elements. In very good condition with a beautiful patina. The Modernist look of this wonderful Art Deco side table or pedestal by P.E.L. Izeren is also known in the Netherlands under the name Haagse School. The Haagse School was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch Art Magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. Well known architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons and Jan Brunott.
