Magnificent and ultra rare Art Deco Modernist bookcase or credenza. Design by Jan Brunott. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak with original black lacquered lining. Eight original solid oak shelves. This piece of furniture cannot be dismantled and will be shipped in a custom made wooden crate for safe transport! The Modernist look of this wonderful Art Deco bookcase or credenza is also known in the Netherlands under the name Haagse School. The Haagse School was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch Art Magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. Well known architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons and Jan Brunott.
