Magnificent and ultra rare Art Deco Modernist serving cart or trolley. Striking Dutch design from the 1930s. Solid oak frame and wheels with original refinished black lacquered beech top. All four wheels are in good working order. This wonderful Art Deco serving cart or trolley is in very good condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. The Modernist look of this amazing piece of furniture is also known in the Netherlands under the name Haagse School. The Haagse School was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch Art Magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. Well known architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons and Jan Brunott.
