Magnificent and rare Art Deco Modernist floor lamp. Design by Cor Alons. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Black and red lacquered solid oak base with new black fabric shade. Rewired with one new socket for E-27 light bulb. In very good condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. A real eye-catcher for your home or office. We will ship this museum piece in a custom made wooden crate for safe transport when purchased by overseas buyers! The Modernist look of this wonderful Art Deco coffee table by Anton Lucas Leiden is also known in the Netherlands under the name Haagse School. The Haagse School was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch Art Magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. Well known architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons and Jan Brunott.
