Magnificent and ultra rare Arts & Crafts cupboard.
Design by Kees Oosschot for J.B. Hillen Amsterdam.
Striking Dutch design from the 1900s.
Solid American walnut and maccasar ebony base with four original doors. Original beveled glass in the two top doors. Four original hand-made brass lock plates with four original brass pull outs. Locks and original keys with monogram are in good working order.
This wonderful Arts & Crafts cupboard by Kees Oosschot for J.B. Hillen Amsterdam is in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
Kees van Oosschot was the brother in law of the famous Dutch architect K.P.C. de Bazel and very much inspired by him and an other famous Dutch architect Mathieu Lauweriks.
A real eye-catcher in your home or office.
