Magnificent and ultra rare Art Nouveau Arts & Crafts bookcase. Design by H.F. Jansen & Zonen Amsterdam. Striking Dutch design from circa 1905. Solid oak base with original hand-carved decorative elements. All six doors have the original decorative brass handles. The design of this ultra rare bookcase is in the style of Theo Nieuwenhuis, a famous Dutch artist, painter and designer. The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam has a cupboard or bookcase by H.F. Jansen & Zonen in their collection with original brass hardware in the same decorative style. This wonderful Art Nouveau Arts & Crafts bookcase by H.F. Jansen & Zonen Amsterdam is in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. We will ship this lovely piece of furniture dismantled in a custom made wooden crate for safe transport, when purchased by overseas buyers!
