Magnificent and ultra rare Art Deco Modernist credenza or sideboard. Design by Jan Brunott. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak base with original black lacquered handles on both doors and drawers. Original black lacquered linoleum top. Locks and keys are in good working order. A real eye-catcher in your home or office. In very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. We will ship this museum piece in a custom made wooden crate for safe transport when purchased by overseas buyers! The Modernist look of this wonderful Art Deco stool by Hendrik Wouda for H. Pander & Zonen is also known in the Netherlands under the name Haagse School. The Haagse School was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch Art Magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. Well known architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons and Jan Brunott.
